Every Party Needs A Wallflower Att: Andronda/Any

Jerzy Tobin

The party was lovely, it really was. There was wonderful music,
delicious foods, and refreshing drinks, both alcoholic and non. At
any other time, Andronda would have been out on the dance floor with
all the other pairs whirling around. Instead, she was tucked away
into an out of the way table, a small plate of mostly untouched
tidbits on the table in front of her, and a small glass of wine held
loosely in her hand as she leaned back in her chair. The truth of it
was, she hadn't felt much like celebrating - she felt tired, and out
of sorts, and only the insistence of Nykantiath had driven her to the
Dining Hall in the first place.

So she had dressed very simply - a light blue blouse with a gauzy
skirt in a darker blue, with her hair done up in a braided crown with
blue ribbons woven into it. No jewelry or anything flashy to draw
attention to herself. Other than her goldrider's knots, there was
nothing to make her stand out, unless someone was specifically looking
for her.

ooc: She's been having nightmares about the gather, on top of being
exhausted from allergies/the heat. come and pester her!

R'tal had considered going after Kassia and Talith to check on the eggs but - especially if N'shen went too - that had problems attached. Leave the party with no Weyrleaders present and there was every chance it might slip out of control again. He wasn't feeling up to negotiating with Kassia over alcohol a second time.

Still, there was no need to do anything about that beyond actually existing, a visible reminder that maybe if people were drinking then private time belonged in their own weyrs. He hadn't intended to do much more than hover until he noticed the young goldrider quietly tucked away in a corner.

First impressions might be bad but they could possibly start again. He wandered towards her, offering a smile. "This seat taken?"

Blackadder: I mean, what about the people that do all the work?
Baldrick: The servants.
Blackadder: No, me; *I'm* the people who do all the work.
