Re: I Remember You! (Ran'omi, J'zat)

Blushing a little, Ran'omi brushed a strand of his growing hair back behind his ears. He was glad that it was growing back from where it had fallen out and had to be cut when he was on Flight. It felt normal. J'zat hinting that he would be with Ran'omi for a flight had moths in his stomach and a giggle forming in his throat like he was a weyrling again. "She.... would like that." Swallowing, Ran'omi glanced to J'zat. "I'd like that."

"The rain is warmer here than up there. Ista's rain isn't bad at all, but even there is nothing to here." Diagir sighed with happy thoughts. "Only thing I'm not fond of about Arolos is that leathers aren't practical for the weather. It makes one have to be more careful in training whers. One wrong move and no arm."

"I know Meisteth would swim after her." J'zat said, nonchalantly, not looking at Ran'omi. "If she wanted."

He shrugged. "Suppose we can stick around."

I'des let her fill her plate before he moved to fill his. "That sounds like a lot of responsibility." He answered. "And I can't say I blame you. 'Pologies, by the way. For the other day, Sunstreath being prickly."

"I'll think about it." I'des responded. "I don't want to be a bully, after all. Maybe I'll buy one."

"I have a Weyr to care for now." She started filling a plate. "I don't have a choice...well, I do, but then I'd make a bad Weyrwoman and I try to be a good Weyrwoman. Not that I don't think about it sometimes." She grinned.

"I enjoy the rain here much more than I did in the North." Maglor agreed. "And I was glad to have the training available for Glaurung."

"I'm older than I was as a Weyrling." I'des answered. "Not sure about wiser though." He added, jokingly. "Sometimes I'm still tempted to fly with no hands."

Fabric, Food and Candidates, oh my (attn: Desille, Doryth, Micaya)

Mya L. R.

Midday came sooner than she'd expected.  The morning tailor lessons went well, explaining more about various types of fabric, but she'd sat attentively listening.  Soaking it up as best she could.  When midday rolled around she'd been sent on her way with papers to study over the lunch hour.  She'd been cautioned to make sure she read them with enough light, as such the black haired girl strolled out to get some fresh air.  As well as some sunlight that'd been rather absent inside the room she'd been in for almost the entire morning.

She gave a cheerful chirpy-like greeting to those she walked past on her way out.  From her shoulder the brown firelizard sent them a fierce stare until they were falling behind them, he perked up as the sudden sunlight that spilled over them though.  "Does that mean you like that too, Snazzu?"  Micaya guessed, smiling as she noticed the movement, responding to it by rubbing her knuckles under his chin.  "Come on you must've heard that I need good light for studying, let's find the best patch of light!"

She glanced around intent on checking all the brightest looking spots that wouldn't take her far from the Hold.  Once she picked one she sat down on the ground, smoothing down her skirt, so she could set the papers nice and neat onto her lap.  So her eyes were trained downward onto the papers rather than anything going on in the sky.

Snazzusnaps, however, raised his head keeping an eye on everything.

"Yes, but I'm a lot older and wiser now," Kassia said with a shake of her head. "I did a lot of things when I was younger that I wouldn't do now. What about you?"

"Have you tried her swimming instead of flying?" J'zat suggested, awkwardly. "For flights, I mean."

He paused. "We'll get out of your way if she needs her bath."

"That sounds great, actually!" Diagir eagerly accepted her offer. "Breakfast would do anyone good. Is Larensk alright to go into the Weyr dining hall, or should we go back to the hold?"

Ziya whistled at Larensk curiously. {'Rensk good? 'Rensk eat in dragon home or wher home?}

"The only thing I can think of is maybe find a gold flit and hope she has a nest, but it sounds like an invite to get scratched." I'des responded, with a sigh. "Someone told me that I could buy a flit egg at the Gather, though."

A pause. "I just need to convince Sunstreath."

"Getting golds is hard even for rankers," D'cul pointed out. "I absolutely see the appeal of them though, who wouldn't? I've considered looking into a gold wher or firelizard but I'm not sure how to get a firelizard gold outside of the Harper open and absolutely no idea how to get a gold wher. Besides, having one is hard enough, I can't imagine having two. Seteieth has flown golds before up in High Reaches so that's sort of similar... but different. Dragons are inense."

Tetsuith trilled and cheeped childishly while giving Meisteth coquettishly. {{Oh you! You're so sweet to me. There's no dragon like you down here, that's for sure."

"I was gonna wash her," Ran'omi replied. "We shut ourselves in our Weyr for her ruts and especially the duration of her 'flights'. The worst part is her lust isn't over quickly like it would be in a flight. Since there's nothing to slake her desire, it just burns out slowly into embers. It kind of burns..."

((You are truly amazing.)) Meisteth agreed. ((I am honored to be your clutch sibling.))

J'zat grinned. "Good for her." He approved. "... Were you coming down here to do anything, by the way? Ah'm sorry if we interrupted..."

Re: Sacharrine Saturated Nightmare (Talena, and CM Nayari)

Talena nodded while listening intently, eyes bright and eager as she hung off of the Candidatemaster's words. Where had this perfect greenrider been all her life? Here she was stating everything that Talena wanted to hear from a superior and supporting Talena's beliefs. She felt Parath's amusement outside in his sun spot as well as his own mirrored approval. Her blue was also fond of following the rules and doing right, so Marith's was A-OK in his book, too. Talena swallowed a bit before replying.

"Thank you, ma'am. I'll remember that for sure. I find the greatest pleasure in seeing Candidates succeed and Impress, but especially the ones who started out rough and unruly, and then turn around to be leaders and positive role models. Seeing someone who pushed back against you and broke the rules get their stuff together and turn around.... damn. It's rewarding."
