Re: I'm Not Pregant Party atten: Sarati/any

Shalia hesitated only briefly, but she'd had too much strong wine on an empty stomach (despite her earlier warning) to actually stop.  If Sarati wanted help undressing in the middle of the Dining Hall, Sarati would get help undressing in the middle of the Dining Hall!  She quickly pulled the zipper down and then pushed the dress off her shoulders, taking the opportunity to plant a kiss on the other woman's neck.

"Shells," Asheran whispered, staring openly.

Such eloquence.

Rennitz was watching with fascination before she felt the eyes on her. Turning to see Yiyu looking at her so dolefully, the redhead pulled the other to her. "C'mere, you. Sit on this side of me so you don't see Sar's nakedness. It's normal, I hear, for riders to see each other naked!"

Re: Old Enough to Know Better ((Attn: S'ryll / Kyrel))

Kyrel visibly gulped and his caramel eyes went wide. A bronzerider? He'd sailed into the stormfront blind, and was now scrambling mentally for what to do, what to say. Does one salute in this situation? Shards, a real bronzerider and the first impression he gets of you is that you're a layabout! With only a second's hesitation, he lumbered to his feet with about as much grace as would be expected: quite little.

At least the man didn't seem particularly antagonistic. "I'm Kyrel of Thonet Hold-- well, I was. Now I'm Kyrel of Arolos Weyr, I guess." He seemed particularly aware of his bulk, arms tucked close and shoulders hunched as if trying to make himself smaller. "They do! I-I'm trying to learn it, really. The weyr knots are so many and so complicated, and the stupid rope is so storming tiny!" Frustration was evident on his face, in his quiet bass. "Sorry. Shouldn't curse."

"Maybe.  At least you didn't lie to a bronzerider, so you've got that going for you."  What's your name?"  He waited for the kid's response before moving on.  "You already know your numbers hmm?  But apparently not your knots.  Surely this Weyr teaches that in its training as well?"  He needed to make the kid feel like he was still slacking off in some way.

{{He's going to help you bathe me?}} Vastolth asked.

((I'm working on it.))

{{Oh he will.}} Vastolth assured his rider.

((What makes you say that?))

{{Because I'm me!  Once you show me to him, he'll help.}}

((I'll be sure to pass along the message...)) S'ryll chuckled.

"Thank you for the wine," she said with a nod. "It's always appreciated. What sort of gifts do you like to get from your friends?" The choice of words was somewhat pointed. She wondered how much longer before he'd grow bored once he realized that she wasn't going to fall at his feet or jump in bed with him.

Yiyu had edged back from things some time ago. Now, however, she was wathing the two women kiss in startled fascination. Was that- How did- Oh, Faranth, what had she gotten herself into. She turned slightly glazed eyes to Rennitz, emploring her to save her from the heat of embarrassment climbing into her cheeks

"Oh Feck!" Sarati jumped back. "It's okay, it's not your fault, Shalia." She gave her best friend another quick kiss. "But I can't sit around in a wet dress. Help me get this off." She turned around so that Shalia could get the zipper at the back while she pulled up the hem from the bottom, totally uncaring that they had an audience.

He followed her direction, content to stroll beside her.  He smiled at her compliment.  "Thank you."  He motioned to the unopened bottle he carried.  "This is the same vintage, and I promised you a bottle, not one that we drink at lunch.  This one is for you, although I hope you decide when you're ready to drink it, that you'd like me to drink it with you."

"I think we already are starting to be friends," Kassia told him with a tip of her drink. She grinned and waited to see his response as she said, "As for paintings, I draw portraits, scenery, and explicitly erotic paintings..."

"We have something called Wing thirds, that other Weyrs don't have," T'lack said. "It's an official position that allows people to start getting experience with leadership without having the full responsibilities. The wing third could take over when I'm not in the air flying."

"Oh?" I'des asked. "What do you paint and draw?" He looked interested, even as he took a bite of his own sandwich finally. "And... if you don't mind my boldness- we could be friends. If you want. Weyrwoman." he added hastily. "I mean, if it would be acceptable to you."

Sarati relaxed as the rider didn't try object and Shalia responded. She leaned into the other woman's touch, wiggling so that the other woman had easier access and turned. She giggled, alcohol heavy on her breath as she brushed her lips across Shalia's.

Asheran worked his jaw soundlessly for a few moments, taking in his sudden change of fortune. Alyx was here, and one of the women at the table had undone a few buttons of her shirt, and now those riders were hugging on each other, and his drink was empty, and Alyx was basically leaning against him. Before he knew what he was doing, he had brought his arm up and settled it around her shoulders with an easy familiarity that would have staggered sober him.

But right now he was thinking good job, arm. And working out what to say to her.

"Hey. You too?"

Such eloquence.

Re: Missing In Action (ATTN: Fabio, Any)

Alyx

"Sorry about him. I thought he'd have learned a bit when he grew. But poor Fabio, well he never did. He's a handful taking care of. But we manage." Reaching up he ran a hand through his wet hair and looked over to his dragon who seemed to have woken up and was watching them silently. Of course the big blue had his head under the water so all one could really see was his eyes glowing like jewels.

S'ryll held up his flagon of wine, offering to refill the other's cup.  So this strangeness wasn't perfectly normal.  That was reassuring, a semblance of normal.  "Forgive my bluntness.  But how does that work?  Greens can't usually fly a full Fall.  How did you work your way up given your dragon's natural limitations?"

D'vik smiled a little at the byplay between them, but didn't object when Sarati pulled Shalia towards her. Other than the kids, and friendship he had no claim on her and wasn't about to cause a fuss.

Shalia looked a little surprised, but she wasn't going to complain if her former lover wanted to hold her closer.  She happily snuggled a little into Sarati and slipped her free arm around her waist.  And discovered if she moved her hand down far enough she could just rest her fingertipss on some bare thigh.

"Yeah. There's always that." I'des sighed. "I do want a pet, but I'm going to have to wait on bossytail, probably. He knows I do, too. Maybe that'll make him come around." He shrugged. "I don't think he'd eat another draconic, but he might scare it away."

"Sound decision," D'cul nodded curtly. "Always good to take the respectable approach. I definitely still say your decision to wait for Sunstreath's opinion is a stellar one. Firelizards are still mark-sinks and if your bronze scares it away or eats it, the that's marks lost as well as a firelizard. You're definitely not stupid like some bronzeriders I've met."
