Re: GOLD WHER RUN: Bolting Gold, Catch the Lightning (Ziya, Any chasers)
Maglor had accepted Diagir's (and Ziya's) invitation for Glaurung to run, to chase the gorgeous golden queen, and as the time drew nearer, Glaurung had woken, and waited with tense eagerness, for the queen to do as she would. And, the moment she was off, Glaurung was bounding after her, along with several other whers, though the bronze only had eyes for the glowing gold ahead. {Prett' Ziya run fast!} he called. {'Rung chase best!}

Ziya was his packmate, after all, so it made sense that he would chase her. Diagir gave in to Ziya's increased hunger and demand to be bathed and oiled, patient as always with his beloved queen.

Noticing Yiyu's attention, Rennitz smiled and caressed her brown. "This is Aranck. Someone's gold firelizard had a clutch and I got his egg. He's a helpful little fellow, whether I want him to be or not. Sometimes he gets a bit nosy and thinks he's helping but really he isn't."

GOLD WHER RUN: Bolting Gold, Catch the Lightning (Ziya, Any chasers)
It had been coming on bit by bit for the past sevenday. Diagir had seen his gold wher's color change even before her attitude started to adjust. Ziya started not tolerating Vainglory's presence which resulted in Diagir having to house the green separately from the rest. Diagirsk opted on his own to go with the green to avoid the gold's amorous love-bites and croons, even if he did have every intention to chase as well. Ziya was his packmate, after all, so it made sense that he would chase her. Diagir gave in to Ziya's increased hunger and demand to be bathed and oiled, patient as always with his beloved queen.
Ziya didn't run often. Maybe once every couple Turns. This would be her third, the first being the clutch Vainglory had come from and the second having gone completely to Callamere. Diagir was curious to see what would come from this run, how many eggs she would clutch and what colors would come from them. His excitement fed into Ziya's and had the wher glowing brighter and brighter until she had almost an electric glow. Diagir gathered supplies for the night of and, while she slept on the day she would run, he set up the bonfire that would burn brightly that night where the handlers would sit and listen to their partners try for their ultimate victory. Dried meats, breads, fruits, wine, and water all were stashed for the humans as well as a pot of raw meat for the whers. That, he put in pots, dug a hole near where the humans would sit, and buried them to keep them cool and safe from predators. Like clockwork, Ziya's eyes snapped open with a violently swirling mix of dark purple and very bright red and a low snarl. The compact wher rose to her haunches and gave what Diagir easily recognized as a sensual stretch, neck arching and tail raising before she relaxed back down with a shake. She looked to the door where her daughter and Diagirsk were and sneered, flicking her wings dismissively before looking o her human expectantly. {Ziya run. Ziya run far 'n fast 'n no one catch. Dia take Ziya to run place.} The queen's tone was an imperious command as if her human was just another wher for her to command as she would. To Diagir's credit, he was ready for this and more than gladly led her to where it was okay for her to run. He'd setup a small herdbeast there for her to blood and she immediately jumped on it. With him not being a dragonrider and the world not in desperate need of whers, he didn't have an instinct to order her to blood only, instead letting her get what she would from the small animal. Satisfied, Ziya pulled her red-streaked muzzle back and gave a loud bugle before bolting off into the woods, confident that chasers would come for her. {Ziya run! Chase if dare!}

I'des nodded, and lifted the egg in its pouch, carefully. "Thank you once again, Lady Revai." he told her, and then turned to follow Kassia out. A pause. "Thank you for vouching for me, Weyrwoman." he added. "I... need to get this egg situated in my weyr, and warm, but after that- perhaps, if you're still available, we might do something you enjoy?"

"Good," she breathed, a weight seeming to lift from her. She turned and studied the firelizard. He'd be in and around the barracks, but only now did Yiyu match him to Rennitz.

Re: Whercraft Field Trip...What Could Possibly Go Wrong? atten: Any whercrafter/Tamalak/Kalain/Insera
Laurie
Tamalak's bronze firelizard, Flash, popped in front of his face, his sister's Ranger close behind. The two looked at each other and flew through the fissure that Tamalak had pointed out, sending images to him of a tunnel that got a little bigger, but not much. The whers wouldn't be able to get through it; it was too narrow. "So far Flash is showing me a tunnel that we could get through, but not the whers. They're too bulky, and we'd probably have to do some creative climbing. I'm following Flash, to see how far it goes. No sense in going through there if it's a dead end.," he said to Kalain and the wherhandler with them.

"Theoretically, but the Candidate Apprentices don't work nights and there's a Hatching coming and if I don't at least check the children in on arrival they'll be convincing the rest of them down the Barracks that they're allowed to sew ears back on unsupervised or something," Cremsden explained, then brightened as that tickled his memory. "I was always told bronzes *could* chase greens, but they're more supposed to chase golds." I'des responded. "Not that Sunstreath's ever won a goldflight yet. He keeps trying. He does chase greens, but not a lot." he added. "And it might be normal, but in the North, it's not exactly normal to *like* catching greens with male riders, if you're a bronze. More something that just happens sometimes, you know?" He took a big drink of his juice cup. "I'm told it's more accepted down here, but it- I don't know."

Re: Do you think I could be useful? (Tyne/Larsin)
Laurie
Larsin nodded. This could work. It was something he'd been contemplating for a long time. With the amount of firelizards in the Weyr that actually belonged to people, and then firelizards now showing up out of the blue because of someone who could talk to them, it was actually something that he felt the Weyr needed. "I can give you Mendl. Or Ambrelli. Both of them are good with firelizards," he said.
