Together they went back to the original search area and Kashara started anew while T'rif and the flit joined.

After a few moments, the flit started chittering and pointed to a spot off in a corner where papers could easily could have gotten shoved just by someone accidentally walking by. "The flit thinks there's something there? Want to take a look? Not sure whether it's your stuff or not."

"If you have some water, or tea, that would be lovely." Idri waited patiently, waiting for him to return. It gave her time to figure out what that expression had been that dashed across his face when she had told him there had been some upset. It wasn't even on the scale of "upset" that she had seen and it had been minor to say the least. But it had happened. That expression... had that been disappointment she had seen in there? She tucked it away to think about. Plus she wasn't sure she even wanted to ask about that "twenty heirs" joke.

Her eyes had widened slightly and surprise registered on her face as she pushed her hair out of her face. "I think you are the first person I have heard say that. At least out loud. In all the time I have been with her, and I have been with Tyne since... just afterwards... no one has ever referred to her like that." She wasn't going to tell the man - at least not yet - that his obvious deference had just won him a sizeable chunk of gold stars. She settled back in her seat a little, making herself more comfortable. "I don't know the extent of the relationship you had with her - Tyne has never, with the exception of Weyrwoman Wygelle and Weyrleader F'loran, talked about anyone from High Reaches... I don't think it has been personal, I believe it has been a coping strategy." Idri paused, scrutinising S'ryll carefully. "What... exactly do you know about what happened. After, I mean?"

I'des looked pleased at the accolades, and the bronze rider gave the older brown rider a sheepish grin. "Luck, and being in almost the right place at the right time." He agreed.

"It's the months after that are the tricky parts."

Unaccountably, she flushed. "Yes, sir," she answered promptly. She glanced over at her search partner who still trailed them for a moment then turned back, awaiting directions not so patiently.

Revai gestured. "Have a seat. How can I help you?"

Kassia took a seat, but stayed unobtrusive as she allowed the Callamere owner take over.

"Fair skies, and it's a pleasure to meet you." I'des greeted, promptly, with an incline of his head. "I have a few questions about Callamere whers, if you have a moment."

"Look at you!" N'met grinned proudly like this was one of his own grandkids. "That's some luck then. Telgar didn't have many clutches back when I Impressed since it was in an Interval. Granted, they were starting to pick up with the Pass coming up, but Abartth wasn't a result of that. Id don't matter how many times the senior riders tell you about it, you're right. Nothing prepares you for that moment your mind links with your dragon's."

Erena looked skeptical. Flits were flighty, useless things in her opinion, but of course she swallowed that opinion and nodded, giving the expected, "Thank you, sir."

"Yesterday morning," she relaxed a little and tried to keep her tone respectful in spite of inward panic. "I swear I put them there, and they're really of no importance to anyone but me."

What's a guy to do? (attn F'gal / T'od)

Lindsay

This shouldn't even be a problem, right? A bronzerider had no shortage of female company if he so desired, but...it just wasn't doing it for T'od. He wanted more out of life than just casual dalliances.

So it was with a dragging step and not too much attention being paid that T'od was mooching around feeling sorry for himself. Awsonth was in the middle of a one-sided discussion on why it wasn't hugely important in the grand scheme of things that T'od was single, but the rider wasn't even really paying attention. Perhaps drowning his so-called "sorrows" would help, and it might just stop Awsonth talking long enough for T'od to think.

"C'mon, give me a little let up. I know it's not that important, but I've seen happy couples around the Weyr long enough. I just want to see if there's such a thing for me. And I want to go and have a drink, maybe talk to some people. So stop, please?"

Awsonth's mind-sigh was enormous. [[Very well. But you know I love you, and that's all that matters at the end of the day. And I will always be here for you, single or not.]]

"I know, and you know I love you too."

[[Of course.]]

And with that, Awsonth settled down quietly in their weyr, and T'od continued on to the Riders Hall. Entering, he scanned the area to see if there was anyone he knew before deciding where to sit. There was a place on a table near a blue rider whose back was to him, and T'od headed that way. "Is this seat taken, blue rider?" he asked.

Sunstreath ducked out of ~between~ only a moment later, I'des giving the bronze neck a pat before sliding down to approach Foreth and Kassia, giving the golden queen a bow.

"This is Callamere, huh?"

"Sure, see you there."
Kassia harnessed Foreth and then added the straps for Foreth to be able to safely carry Foreth ~between~. She mounted and they took off. Foreth sent over the image to I'des and then landed near the entrance to Callamere to wait for I'des.
