Hey! Wanna play? (Alyx/Cremmie-R'tal/Tyren)

Alyx

Alyx had been woken up this evening to a very excited and very energetic Cremmie. Tonight was a different night than most, the sky was overcast, the weyrbowl was dim, as she got his leash out, and got him hooked up. Though he kept wiggling with impatience. To the point  that Alyx actually had to reprimand him.

"Hold still Cremmie." Once he was fully leashed she took him outside. He was so full of energy, she took the leash in hand and told him, "Alright Cremmie let's go, remember not too fast." And she took off at a run, Cremmie gave a happy grunt and took off alongside her, he loved running, he bounded alongside her, full of happy thoughts.

Build a nest? Well, she'd never done that before, but Javensha wasn't about to let a silly fact like that stop her. In fact, she might build one for herself later- that image looked awfully good. Chirruping curiously back to Flare, she asked what they would need to gather for it. Javensha emphasized that her faire would be delighted to aid them.

Re: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (ATTN: Nyzara/Tyne)

It touched her soft heart to watch this strong woman fidget, to understand that she felt she wasn't enough, wasn't whole enough fr deserving of the relationship. With all this in mind, Nyzara carefully phrased her next sentences.

"Love withstands a lot of beatings," she commented, amused briefly. "I'd say that you're question shouldn't be what he wants, but if he wants and you want in return. The holes can't be unmade, Tyne, but they can be filled."

On May 15, 2020, at 1:12 PM, Nutmeg <nutmeg.witch@...> wrote:

Okay, so there was a smile. And the voice wasn't accusatory. That was something at least. Tyne fidgeted for a minute or two, an action that earned her a grumble from Bobbin and a small huff from Cairn. "It feels... almost like I shouldn't. Because of.. you know... the fact I'm not always me." The reality was, there was a piece of Tyne's Holdbred heart which was desperate for a family and yet... it felt that it was something she could never have because of the worries of what it might do, what it might trigger. "I mean, it's new so it's not like we've had serious discussions. But it makes me think... you know... about the future. About where he might want it to go. Or to have."

She didn't know if the woman was astute enough to read between the lines but even if not, it was apparent that some of the hostility was fading around Tyne, leaving something resembling an awkward, stammering teenager.

Immediately her thoughts had gone to her faire and her mouth had opened as if to name them off. Human friends, she realised that the woman was referring to. "Not many," she admitted as though loathe to do so. "I think people find me hard to be around. Especially the Riders. I don't blame them. But I think perhaps I'm... mingling better..." She was hesitant as though that wasn't quite the right word. "I went and spoke to the Candidates before the Hatching, about them sending their firelizards to me. And that was okay. Candidatemaster Nayari was especially clear about ground rules before I went in to them. And that helped. I felt I could trust her to be clear about what topics weren't going to be acceptable."

Part of her wanted to be as unhelpfully stubborn as she could. But what exactly would that achieve? "I've felt more confident about approaching people on my own. Like with the firelizard clinic - I went and spoke to Master Larsin and then he pointed me in the direction of Journeywoman Ambrelli who I have been working with." But how many people were "friends" exactly? She wasn't really much for socialising, spending a lot of her time either alone or with R'zzon. Idri of course but she was family - that was a different relationship altogether. Ah.. right. She should probably mention that.

"I do have a... romantic interest..." It came out as guiltily as a child admitting to having stolen a reserved dessert. If the gold was sharing the images, she would have shown Nyzara a deeply flushed face, the faintest of smiles and guilty eyes. As though perhaps she wasn't allowed to confess to having such a thing, or have such a thing at all.

"Yes, I suppose it is. I mean, you have all been saying I need to think more about how I can integrate better. And how I need to think about what I want to do if I want to stay here." Fine, she would be nice and throw this newcomer a little bit of a bone. It wasn't as though it was entirely her fault that she had been given probably the Weyr's biggest file and she was being met with blatant hostility. Tyne let herself settle just a little and the flits on either shoulder did too. Although Bobbin was still giving Flare stink-eye as if daring the young gold to try anything.

The young gold was rewarded with a low hissing growl that came from deep in Bobbin's throat. A warning from the most senior Queen in the room that Flare needed to mind her manners. "Yes, Bobbin and Cairn." She offered no apology for their presence and the cool edge to her voice suggested that one wasn't coming either. If this newbie hadn't brushed up on her notes enough to know that she always had the pair present, well, that was on the Mindhealer.

She shook the hand brusquely and then casually, she dropped into a seat, folding her legs neatly over one another. "So, I'm presuming you've read my file and know why I have to come and see the Mindhealers."

Had she thought about hurting herself at all recently. Sigh.

At least being later on in the day she had been able to pretend the day was normal. And wasn't spending it ramping up with edgy, nervous anticipation of having to spend an candlemark getting picked at. Oh well, may as well get it over with. After knocking in the door and being called in, Tyne opened it and walked in breezily. "Good afternoon Journeywoman. I don't think we've had the pleasure."

Ah, so this was the new one she'd heard mumblings about. Nothing specific, just that there was a new body. Bobbin glowered perfunctorily at the younger gold whilst Cairn paid her no more mind than a polite greeting. Her gold and bronze always came with her whilst Chief took the rest of the faire to play with the instructions of thoroughly distracting them.

The events of the earthquake had many things on Diagir's mind, specifically about how things could have gone better in those caves, or how whers could have been better utilized to help find those buried in rubble. It whirled around and around until he got a brilliant idea and had to go tell Insera. He put Ziya's harness on her with eager fingers that slipped more than once but eventually the gold was fastened in properly. The pair walked briskly to Insera's office where Diagir knocked. He held back his eagerness and took a breath to compose himself which drew a chuckle from Ziya.

OoC: Set current time post-Hatching. Anyone at the Hall is welcome to approach.

IC: He had received more of the drawings back from his Harper friend of the dead gold tunnel-wher and was keen to study them. And he had lessons to catch up on. When had his paperwork grown? He suspected it was at some point overnight. And he still had Darling Girl to train, and exercise and try to socialise. It felt as though it were never ending. Thankfully though, he hadn't had a vast amount of patients through the small Infirmary at the WherHall, so that was something at least.

It was early evening and he was sat out the front of the Infirmary in the small porch that ran around the front and sides of the building. He was trying to teach Darling more patience, sitting with her on a sturdy leash whilst he tried to flick through the large drawing. Unfortunately, the green was already big enough that she was capable of a short, sharp tug now and then, bored and becoming more agitated to explore now that the sun was setting.

((Au'lan go nooowwww.)) She whinged, pulling grumpily at the leash.
