Re: There's Got To Be a Morning After (ATTN: Shalia/Sarati)

Kevin M

Shalia caught the items, dressing quickly and wincing noticeably at the idea of having to tell her father.  "You're the Weyrwoman," was the only reply she made.  Sh'ain was fairly laid-back for an ACM, but somehow she suspected she wouldn't be getting off lightly because of being his daughter.  In fact, he'd probably feel that meant that spanking was still on the table.

Frankly, the Candidate would much rather just have the Weyrwoman set her punishment, as was her right, and have done with it.

Re: Yes, she's meant to be this size. Yes, we've been asked before. (Dytha/Ambrelli)

TrueTricia

Ambrelli breathed in again, listening to Dytha, the young woman making sense, even if Ambrelli couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to see this idea through.  How could she just casually dismiss a way to save the two people that mattered to her the most?  Whose death had started her down this dark and angry path?  She couldn't, but Dytha was not going to be the person to help her with that. At least now the apprentice knew why she'd looked faint.  Merck chirped in her ear, still anxious for her.  It was rare the times that she was so out of sorts that he got upset, and she reached up to reassure him.

"So you suffer from a disease?" Ambrelli asked.  "That's got to be rough as a Rider."  She ignored the girl's touchy statements, knowing all too well herself that she had her days when she was insufferable.  "You need help with anything, just let me know."  She wasn't going to coddle the woman either, as she'd obviously been dealing with the issue fine all by herself.

"Ponth," Ambrelli said directly to the dragon.  She needed to distract herself, give herself something to do.  "Would it be alright if I came closer and looked at you?  Touched you?  Forgive my curiosity, but I've never something as amazing as you are."  She knew dragons liked flattery, and it wasn't untrue.  Ponth was amazing.  A two thousand Turns ago dragon?  Had to be the first thing on the top ten list of Amazing.

"What did *Shalia* do?" R'tal asked, and waved a hand. "Fine, if it makes you happy," he surrendered. "I've not had anyone to fetch klah since Dyrina Impressed." He sighed in remembered mournfulness. "I miss that kid."

"And why didn't you do this in the *barracks* where you're supposed to be sleeping right now?" she asked. Did no one have a flit's tooth of sense in their heads?

"It was more just reading," Garatt admitted in a small unhappy voice. "It was loud in there."

The light from the outside grew smaller and smaller as they went along until they turned a corner and all the light they had was from a few glows left nearby and the one in Kashara's hand. She grabbed another from the wall.

"Wait, take this," she called to the girl.

Mareeth hissed, her good nature overcome by the sheer presumptuousness of the blue- though she swiftly recovered her usual good nature. ((You will treat I and Mine with *respect*.)) The green bristled.

"I can understand disappointment, I'm going to have to tell you to warn your blue off taking it any farther." R'lian responded, straightening a little bit. "Mareeth didn't know."

Kassia giggled. "I like it. Though I suspect it'll probably be more like 'Trouble'." That the kitten was currently trying to climb down to go exploring might have had something to do with her guess.

"Thank you," Yiyu panted as she scrambled down the tunnel, calling a little forelornly for Sifha.

Sarati was in the corner by her dresser just glaring with her arms over her chest. She reached inside without moving her glare from her mom and tossed Shalia a couple of things.

Kassia tapped her foot as she waited, not caring one whit about giving privacy. "You know what, I should make you tell your father."

"Half-and-Half," was the instant reply.  "Unless you have another idea?"

Shalia gave her one last glare, and then looked around the room for her clothes.  And spotted very few.  There were her underpants, and a shirt that she thought might have been one of D'vik's, and... that was it.  "Um... Sar?  Can I borrow some clothes?" she asked a little sheepishly as she held the oversized shirt up in front of her, modesty finally kicking in.

Well, it wasn't what he'd expected. R'tal took a moment to consider and then shook his head.

"No," he said, but at least it was a little less abrupt this time. "Sorry, no. I really *need* Margana. Sticking a Lady Holder-to-be in my office just messes up the pecking order and after she's had a baby I'm not having her taking it into her head that she needs a longer break." He gestured to the files. "I'd never find anything again for a start!"

I was hoping you could give her some work to make her time here miserable."
