"Yeah, you can, it's wild. You can get cheaper ones from wild-bred firelizards or ones found on the beach, or if you want to pay more you can buy ones from the Callamere Hall. I hear they're bizarrely good at guessing the colors inside the eggs. You just can't buy a gold. Maybe if you go to the Hold itself you could probably find a gold there." He looked to the two bronzes with a hum. "If you go beach-hunting, though, you could probably get Sunstreath to scare the adults away. They listen to dragons remarkably well."

"Yes, but I'm a lot older and wiser now," Kassia said with a shake of her head. "I did a lot of things when I was younger that I wouldn't do now. What about you?"

"Have you tried her swimming instead of flying?" J'zat suggested, awkwardly. "For flights, I mean."

He paused. "We'll get out of your way if she needs her bath."

Re: Rise and Shine (ATTN Diagir, Larenne)

Ren

"That sounds great, actually!" Diagir eagerly accepted her offer. "Breakfast would do anyone good. Is Larensk alright to go into the Weyr dining hall, or should we go back to the hold?"

Ziya whistled at Larensk curiously. {'Rensk good? 'Rensk eat in dragon home or wher home?}

"The only thing I can think of is maybe find a gold flit and hope she has a nest, but it sounds like an invite to get scratched." I'des responded, with a sigh. "Someone told me that I could buy a flit egg at the Gather, though."

A pause. "I just need to convince Sunstreath."

Re: Bronze on Bronze (D'cul, I'des)

"Getting golds is hard even for rankers," D'cul pointed out. "I absolutely see the appeal of them though, who wouldn't? I've considered looking into a gold wher or firelizard but I'm not sure how to get a firelizard gold outside of the Harper open and absolutely no idea how to get a gold wher. Besides, having one is hard enough, I can't imagine having two. Seteieth has flown golds before up in High Reaches so that's sort of similar... but different. Dragons are inense."

Re: I Remember You! (Ran'omi, J'zat)

Tetsuith trilled and cheeped childishly while giving Meisteth coquettishly. {{Oh you! You're so sweet to me. There's no dragon like you down here, that's for sure."

"I was gonna wash her," Ran'omi replied. "We shut ourselves in our Weyr for her ruts and especially the duration of her 'flights'. The worst part is her lust isn't over quickly like it would be in a flight. Since there's nothing to slake her desire, it just burns out slowly into embers. It kind of burns..."

Re: A Favorite Topic With a New Face (Diagir/Ziya, Maglor/Glaurung)

Ren

"The weather is stunning," Diagir agreed with a smile. "Even if it does have the same problems like any coastal Weyr. Typhoons, summer storms, and the like. I do love the rain, though. It's beautiful to have something fall from the sky that isn't trying to kill me. Their respect for the whers here is overwhelming to me. Only Crom up North really respected them for their work in the mines."

Re: I Remember You! (Ran'omi, J'zat)

Steelsilver

((You are truly amazing.)) Meisteth agreed. ((I am honored to be your clutch sibling.))

J'zat grinned. "Good for her." He approved. "... Were you coming down here to do anything, by the way? Ah'm sorry if we interrupted..."

Re: Sacharrine Saturated Nightmare (Talena, and CM Nayari)

Talena nodded while listening intently, eyes bright and eager as she hung off of the Candidatemaster's words. Where had this perfect greenrider been all her life? Here she was stating everything that Talena wanted to hear from a superior and supporting Talena's beliefs. She felt Parath's amusement outside in his sun spot as well as his own mirrored approval. Her blue was also fond of following the rules and doing right, so Marith's was A-OK in his book, too. Talena swallowed a bit before replying.

"Thank you, ma'am. I'll remember that for sure. I find the greatest pleasure in seeing Candidates succeed and Impress, but especially the ones who started out rough and unruly, and then turn around to be leaders and positive role models. Seeing someone who pushed back against you and broke the rules get their stuff together and turn around.... damn. It's rewarding."

"I enjoy it here." Maglor nodded. "It's warm, colorful, and I've a lovely bronze wher for company."

Ziya gave an understanding sound. It was like how hers felt about That Green's rider then. She leaned more into Diagir while listening to the bigs.

"It is not," Diagir agreed. "Arolos is calm for the most part and even its calamities are bearable."

I'des grinned. "That's fair. Thanks for the consideration." He responded playfully. "Ever tried to fly with no hands?"

A pause, watching, as she set out the food, settling down carefully to keep some distance between them. "Oooh, bubbly pies! I love those!"

Kassia nodded. "Is he Bonded or Impressed?" That would matter as to whether she cared if he listened to others or not. "What are you hoping to do with the wherhandlers?" She already had a wher, so she couldn't be a Wherguard, but she could be a part of the guards who used whers if she wanted.

Z'go snorted, letting him have that one.  He had helped him out after all, and Z'go wasn't always a total prick.  "Thanks again, Cremsden.  I don't think i will be an issue but if it i'll send him your way.  Anything else I need to know?"

"I'm a Senior apprentice only. My egg was a gift and Larensk has been by my side ever sense." She looked a little pensive, thoughtful, as she stroked his hide and studied the beautiful lines of the goldrider's bronze wher. "He's a bit of a pain when it comes to obeying anyone but me, but he is completely loyal at heart, which usually makes up for the trouble he gets me out of."

Again, that charming grin flashed.

Re: In Need of a Bit of Healing (Ambrelli/Z'go)

Z'go snorted at her response, amused and noticing that little by little her walls were coming down, "Very well, if you don't want to be thanked for helping Gamyth, how about for eating weyrbrats and giving the grown ups less little wheryfecks to deal with?  Aye, I'd raise a glass to that."  He offered her a roguish smile; he was teasing, inviting her to play a little bit more.

He was of course attentive to everything she was doing to Gamyth, memorizing the procedure to the best of his abilities in case, Farath forbid, he had to do it himself in the future.  "Don't worry, I'm watching," he told her, though when she turned his green eyes weren't on the dragon but lingering on the woman attending Gamyth.  His eyes drifted up her figure until they encountered the dragonhealer's own.

The brownrider leaned in closer to Ambrelli, practically looking over her shoulder.  He was close enough that when he turned his head his deep voice spoke dangerously closer to her ear, "Go on, continue."  He turned his head, attention returning to the wound, "And the response is yes, I have plenty of oils."

Re: Reserving Her Opinionatten: Kassia/S'yrell

If he thought that his time at Arolos would be a...picnic, he was in for a harsh reality, but Kassia didn't tell him that. He'd never believe her. Too many people came and saw the initial overlay of Arolos and thought them soft, weak even because of their permissiveness. But Arolosians were survivors and there was always another crisis on the horizon. They hadn't had a problem in a while, but it was only a matter of time. She ate a piece of cheese as she contemplated, enjoying the time of peace while she could.

"Perhaps Arolos will live up similarly to what you've...enjoyed at High Reaches," she said, finding his enjoyment of that harshness a bit odd. "The sun is here to stay and the feeling of a vacation will wear off, I'm afraid, but perhaps you will work your way up and get those luxuries again. Arolos offers its own options. We have our own wines. And the whers and flits and runners, as mentioned. There is the beach, for walking, yes." She glanced at him and smiled, though whether it was a promise or not remained to be seen. "If you want to see the runners, I could take you. That's close enough. And there are bathing pools that are much nicer than at High Reaches if you haven't found them yet."
