Teyra took a moment to reply. Both rider, and dragon were covered in a grey brown muck. The mud was seemingly everywhere on the skinny green, but she didn't seem the least bit concerned. In fact she looked obscurely pleased with the mess she'd created. Teyra, had been tugging at the last bit of straps, the mud had effectively glued shut, and when it gave, she toppled over, landing on her butt in the sand.

"Shards, but that one was stuck!" Only then did she seem to notice the bronze pair landing nearby. She sat up, wiping a grimy hand across her forehead and gave him a bashful smile.

"Uh sorry about that, yes it is a lovely day..." Teyra would have continued, perhaps appologising for their appearance, but Stakarth took up the conversation, ((Yes it is, it was a lovely day, and I found mud. It feels so nice on my hide.))

T'od couldn't fault his logic, which was no surprise,so he agreed and the pair winged their way down to the lake. One of their preferred spots was already taken by a number of splashing and cavorting young dragons, so they went a little further than normal. Coming down by a green pair, whose names T'od wasn't sure of, he waved anyway as he removed Awsonth's harness.

"Lovely day for it, isn't it?" he called across to the green's rider.

Revith had been enjoying the last rays of sun on his ledge for the evening.  The blue had his wings fanned as he tilted and leaned in his sitting position to let the fading sun catch any part of the swirling blue hide on his wings.

Irissa was already settled into her weyr working on a patch on her flight jacket from the last fall.  They had not been injured but she had gotten some holes in her leathers from hot char.  She had already eaten earlier more comfortable going to the Hall when it was the least crowded.  She could feel the contentment in her blue as he sunned so was calm and happy.

Revith though as he rotated to try and catch a better beam of sun noticed the skittering green in the bowl.   He had not chased since he had returned to Arolos from the North.  Revith the sun forgotten for the moment turned to look from his ledge at the bright green, she was young and glorious looking with her light green hide but it was not all light green.  No she had darker points and touch of lighter on her tail.  Revith could not help the rumble that very softly came forth as the natural urge started for grow in him.

Irissa had been ignoring her blue for the most part once he noticed the green.  Revith had watched a few greens since being back but thankfully had not given him more than his notice.  It was as she felt the rumble in his throat that she looked up from her work ((Rev what are you doing?))

The blue shifted from foot to foot for a moment as he watched the tantalizing young green {{watching a lovely young green.}}  As she took to the air Revith trumpeted and took wing in chase.

Irissa felt a cold shiver pass over her at his worlds but it was quickly followed by a rush of lust.  With a resigned sigh, she rose quickly making her way to the flight room.  One of her last conscious thoughts was stepping into the room before her mind started to become more Rev then her own.

Evening snuck up on the Weyr like it normally did.  Itself silent, not caring about the dragons, anyone else, or the few small clouds that were also creeping across the sky.  Just a sliver of Rukbat's light still peaked over the Rim as A'kin made his way from the Dining Hall toward where Kyuuth was waiting.  As he approached the brightly colored green she scampered away, putting some distance between.  The greenrider froze where he was, head cocking to one side.  While she'd been paying more attention to the males these last few days and making sure she kept a wide berth from most of them, she'd never reacted like that to him.

[[It is just me Kyuuth!  It is to head back to our weyr.]]  A'kin sent still not moving from his spot.

{{No!  I mean...no it's not?}}  Kyuuth cocked her head too, voicing a confused grumble.  {{I mean I don't want anyone or anything on me!  Y-yes, yes that is what I mean, Mine.}}  She declared bobbing her head viciously as she figured out what she actually wanted, her entire body wiggled too with some sort of restless energy.  Despite knowing what she wanted she also couldn't quite remember the next step, so she grumbled again.

"Uh huh."  A'kin made an amused sound obviously more aware of what'd probably be coming next than his green.  "Then I'll get the straps off you too then, shall I?!"

The green went completely still at the suggestion.  {{...Okay that sounds right too...}}  She acknowledged with her head still cocked to one side, not having quite caught up with what her rider was expecting after her earlier comment.  But, she stayed mostly still as he unbuckled the straps and pulled them off.  {{Okay...okay.}}

Once the straps were firmly in his hands, he patted the green hide before stepping away.  [[Go to it, girl.]]  He continued moving away slowly, picking up his pace when his green didn't stop him, not in the direction of the weyr of course.  If Kyuuth's comment was anything to go by he knew there was somewhere else he'd need to be very soon.

{{Hmm.}}  Kyuuth crouched down, wiggling restlessly again as there was still something...that needed doing it.  Something she couldn't do alone.  {{Hmm...  You...}}  She said turning her attention onto a bronze she spotted nearby, then continued turning until she spotted some more interesting males.  {{And you and you and and...and...}}  Trailing off, she couldn't think of what she'd say next and she stood there for a few more solid minutes before her maw opened, bugling out a challenge.  {{COME!}}  And in one smooth move, she straightened, snapping her wings open and she sprung into the air.  {{WE SHALL PLAY OUR SAFE IN THE AIR!}}

His stroll toward the flightrooms turning into more of a swagger, A'kin made the amused sound again.  "Mhmm.  'Playmates' then..."

Ishkana fidgeted in her seat for a moment, wanting to be truthful but wondering how much she should say. "I come from the North," she said eventually, "I used to live with my aunt and uncle because I was sent away from my mother when I was small. My cousin came here for a fresh start, so I followed her. She's my only friend. They didn't want me back there so they paid for me to come by boat." The way she saw it, her family had got rid of two problems at pretty much the same time.

"Long way to come for a fresh start," Cremsden commented. "Still, if it works... Whereabouts in the North?"

Jerronila turned a page, obvious to the journeyman's return.
This book was fascinating, and not one that had been in the Holds archives.
Her stomach must have registered the smell of fresh food, and grumbled to remind her that she hadn't eaten. She looked down at her stomach with surprise,  and then realised the journeyman was back.
"Oh. Apologies, sir." She said, putting the book down quickly.

"It's fine. If you need reading material there's plenty I can throw at you," Cremsden said cheerfully. "Plates are over there. Grab one and help yourself and tell me about your life so far."

It was about time Ishkana started remembering where things were kept in the infirmary, but she wasn't there yet. And it looked like some of the klah pots were running dry.

Ishkana glared at him, the blue eye growing darker the more furious she became. "I don't know, okay?" She turned away, partly because she felt like she was going to hit something, which would not be good, and partly because she didn't want him to see there were tears of rage in her eyes. Before the outing to gather medicinal plants, those who were being
sent to look for said plants had been given a rundown on types of
plants to be on the look out for. So now here she was, a wide brimmed
straw hat on her head to protect her from the hot sun, a gather basket
in one hand, cutting tools in the other, walking through the wide
fields looking for things to gather. Boring work, maybe, but nothing
she wasn't used to. And gathering herbs was a lot more appealing to
her than gathering the numbweed, or worse, being stuck at a pot
boiling the stuff. No, this might be hot, and tedious, but it was, in
her opinion, the better chore.

And it was a little while later that her eyes spotted a patch of
plants among the others; a bunch of tiny blue star-shaped flowers
spreading out close to the ground. It took a moment for the identity
of the plant to click in her mind: quickwort! The healers would be
thrilled to see that! She knew that it was useful, and hard to find.
And, a little voice in her head said, very valuable. Growing up in a
tiny hold with hardly anything, a part of Phyllia wanted to just hide
what she gathered, maybe sell it herself later and send those marks
back home - keeping a few for herself, of course. Candidates wouldn't
ever see the amount of marks that this little plant was worth, and she
could have something tucked away for herself for the next big
gather...

But the Healers needed this stuff too! Well, maybe she could
compromise... She'd take some for herself, to sell later, and then
she'd report the patch to the healers. They'd never know that some
had already been taken and tucked away, and then Phyllia could earn
herself some marks later on down the road. Everyone would win that
way! Working quickly, the young girl harvested some of the quickwort,
placing it into a small pouch that she then tucked away into her
pocket, before gathering a bit more to take to the healers so she
could show them that she'd found the patch, so that they could gather
more of it.

Re: Nothing to see here #medhunt @re@everyone #medhunt #passionberries

Jerzy Tobin

Ikol understood why guards got sent along with foraging groups.
It was necessary, even if hearing excited comments about yet another leaf was really dull, so as he kept an eye out he thought about what to have his next Gather dress made out of.

Plants. Ugh.
And yet more plants. How exciting.

It seemed that nothing exciting was likely to happen today, so when he spotted familiar berries as the smell of a nearly cooked stew was calling to him, he didn't hesitate to drop them in.
Everyone would be happier after some passionberries, after all.
Stewing numbweed was a necessary chore, but one that Yla - like most
people - despised. But it had to be done, and given that she was
still technically recovering from her bout of the measles and was on
relatively 'light' duty, stewing the medical plant was the chore she'd
been assigned. So the young green rider was more than happy when her
chance for a break came up, and she could get away from the stinking
pots and find some fresher air.

That fresher air also carried the scent of delicious stew, and while
it wasn't as hard as say, chopping and gathering the numbweed or wood
or whatnot, stewing was still hungry work, and Yla was happy to help
herself to a heaping bowl of stew to fill the empty space in her
belly.
